I Heart My Boys

Max was working intently on his valentines last week and was frustrated by a marker that wouldn't draw on the shiny paper. He worked and worked on them until finally I heard him sigh and say...

"DAMN VALENTINES."

"What did you say, Maxwell?" I asked.

"He said DAMN VALENTINES," Liam responded, matter-of-factly.

Love these two.

A Prairie Home Companion

I got tickets for Aaron to see "A Prairie Home Companion" with Garrison Kiellor at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul as a Christmas present. We saw the Feb. 9th show this weekend and it was AWESOME!!! We were about 10 rows from the front in a very small, intimate theater. Two hours of live performance went by in a flash. We loved every minute of it, AND we discovered a new singer in the process. Ellis was a special guest, and her music was so pure and heartfelt...I was breathless. We'll definitely be looking for a show of hers near us sometime soon.

I love "discovering" new music with Aaron. We immediately fell in love with Carbon Leaf when they opened for Blues Traveler in Madison many years ago...and I think Ellis will always bring back memories of this wonderful weekend for us as well.
