Unremarkable Days

"What if you woke up one day dead and were stunned to realize that you had forged your days always waiting for the perfect time, perfect job, the great moment? This would be vanity, a mist, a chasing after the wind.... Instead, scripture tells us, whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might. What if eternal life creeps in compressed in the smallest moments? There is always right at hand something Christ will bring: some open door for us to walk through to serve with passion, attentive detail, and excellence. An unnamed man woke to an unremarkable day and found himself taking a jar of water up the steps to an upper room. Upstairs Jesus waited with a towel." (Forward Day by Day)
