Liam eventually returned to PBSkids and I went in to get Max. I noticed that his quilt that usually hangs over the side of the crib was missing. I looked on the floor and all around his room, but I didn't see it. I went into the living room and saw the quilt spread out on the floor! Liam had a bag of Max's toys and was carefully placing them one by one on the quilt! I asked him if he was setting that up for Max and he said "Yep, I am!" He had chosen all the best toys and had even set Max's favorite teddy bear right in the middle of the quilt! I brought Max in and then they played together until it was time to go!
I picked up the striped shirt Liam is wearing in the above picture for $2. It has a picture of an orange astronaut on the front. Liam thought it was a monster before I told him it was actually an astronaut. I explained that an astronaut works way up high in the sky on the moon, and he seemed quite intrigued.
"Ohhhh," he said, "I was an astronaut too one time!"
"Really?" I said, waiting for details sure to come.
"Yep, when I was orange!"

In other news, Liam pooped on the potty entirely on his own last night! We were at Aaron's parents' house and Liam ran into the living room while we were all finishing dinner. I figured he had to go, so I just suggested he stand in the bathroom and go. We've been encouraging him to try and sit on the potty, but he will only pee. He has steadfastly refused to do anything but pee on the potty for over two months! Last night, though, he took my suggestion and went into the bathroom.
We all continued on with our dinner until we heard "I did it!" Aaron and I both looked at eachother and said "Yeah, right!" We went to see just what he'd been up to in there and found him sitting on the potty! He got his pants off all by himself and even climbed up onto the much higher than usual toilet, unaided! He was so excited, and we were surprised to say the least!
Our standing offer has been that Liam gets a Curious George movie if and when he poops on the potty. He's had his eye on the prize for awhile now, but just wasn't quite ready to cash in. Aaron took him on a special trip to pick up the movie on our way home last night!
