Our poor little baby has a double ear infection and croup! He sounds awful, and the only place he's comfortable is on my chest in the rocking chair. He's having a tough time, but has some good medicine and snuggly parents to help him get better.
We were home with the sick child yesterday and have returned to work today, albeit in a zombie-like sleep deprived state. We told Liam he could stay home from daycare yesterday too, but he asked if he could go instead! I thought it was really cute, so we dropped him off a little later than usual and he went about his normal day!
I forgot to record this little adorable moment for posterity from a few weeks ago:
I was rocking Max in his room before bedtime when Liam came into the room. He showed me some of his toys and told me a few things before heading back out into the hallway. I heard his little (actually big) feet pad down the hall and into the livingroom, but then he turned around and came back towards the bedroom. I saw his head peek around the corner and into Max's room.
"Do you need any-fing, Mom?" he asked.
What a sweetheart! I said I didn't, but that it was very sweet of him to ask. He just ducked his head and smiled shyly. I hope the concern he has for others really stays with him as he grows up. It's his most endearing quailty, I think!
