Love

Aaron and I took an epic journey to Minneapolis (and back) on Saturday! We thought it made sense to just drive back Saturday night/Sunday morning instead of staying at a hotel. Liam's birthday party was on Sunday, so we would have to leave MN early in the morning anyway. All good reasons on paper...not so great in reality! We're still catching up on sleep, but the trip was well worth it.

My very best friend Becky married Carrie on Saturday! Becky and I met while studying abroad and have been friends ever since. She is the kind of friend you hope to find amidst the impermanence of the transient college life. She and Carrie have been great encouragements to us as we've built our life together and become parents. It was an honor for us to witness their marriage and the start of their new life together.

Guests at the wedding may remember me as "the crying girl"... the ceremony was simple but beautiful.

The reception was held at the Gale Mansion in downtown Minneapolis. Great atmosphere and great food!

Each table featured a city the couple has visited together. Aaron and I were at the "London" table...of course!

We didn't really know many people at the wedding, so it was nice to just visit together and have time for just the two of us. We love weddings, so it wasn't difficult to have a good time!

The first dance...taken through the french doors, but I thought it turned out kind of neat.

This one, too.

Congratulations, Carrie & Becky! Love you both.

  3. Yay!!! We're so glad that you and Aaron were there! Sorry that it involved an epic road trip across the state of WI..twice. Your pictures are gorgeous! If you get a chance, could you email them to me?
